We acknowledge and pay our respects to the custodians, elders past, present and future of the land upon which we live and work, the people of the Dharug nation.

We thank Uncle Wes and Uncle Greg for coming today to share their knowledge and ceremony. We thank Debra Beale and Auntie Julie for sharing their culture and skills. We thank our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mentors for their time over the three days of Waranara.

Waranara is the Dharug word for seek, and our guiding question was:

"Who were our first Australians?"

We hope that over the three days, students were able to gain a sense of discovery and understanding about our connection to Dharug culture, past, present and future.

With Thanks
