I am a Bungdjulong girl  from the Grafton area. I have learnt a lot about my culture from my Nan. The Smoking Ceremony was my favourite part of the last few days, because having such important Elders come to share their knowledge and experience with us, and their pride in our culture, makes me proud as well.

I have enjoyed dancing with the Year 8 girls, being able to share knowledge with other cultures who don’t know much about mine has been great.

 

We have made a dance especially for these girls and it reflects on the power, pride and passion of the girls through the moves of the goanna and eel as well as contemporary moves.
