Both my Mum and Dad are Aboriginal, but from different areas, so I'm Dharug and also from an area near Kempsey.

I think the school did a really good thing with Waranara. I got to design part of the Waranara version of the Glenwood leaves and I was really proud when they were printed and put on the website. I also took the video and some photos for the home page.

I really enjoyed all the different parts of Waranara, the Smoking Ceremony, the art and the war dance with Ricky and Dylan. I liked meeting the Uncles and hearing their stories and getting to hang out with the other Aboriginal kids at the school. I hope the school keeps doing this for more kids, so we can keep sharing and learning about our culture together because the land belongs to all of us.

We acknowledge and pay our respects to the custodians, elders past, present and future of the land upon which we live and work, the people of the Dharug nation.
