This year, the students and staff at Glenwood HS endeavoured to build a better understanding of and relationship to Aboriginal culture, particularly that of the original Australians closest to our local area, the Dharug people. Year 8 embarked upon a three day project to understand, explore and synthesise their relationship with Indigenous Australian culture.

Our goal was to create an inquiry-based learning experience, integrating the cross-curricular focus of Indigenous culture. We wanted students to be able to explore the more artistic elements of the Indigenous experience, and use their own expertise and skills to present it in a way that they felt would be appreciated by their peers and the wider community.
